Speaker Bio: Selina joined SurveyMonkey in October 2009. Previously Selina was Senior Vice President of Product and Technology at Ticketmaster’s Europe division, where she managed the 200-person Product, Technology and Operations team. Prior to that, Selina was Vice President of Online Product and Technology at Entertainment Publications, where she led the company’s online sales and technology initiatives. In 1997 Selina founded Evite.com, an online invitation service that lets users organize an offline event online, and which currently sends over three million invitations per month. As VP of Engineering for Evite.com, she led the company’s development and operations and played a key role in setting the strategic direction with the board of directors. In 2001, Evite.com was sold to Ticketmaster. Tobaccowala holds a BS degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Elena Verna (Senior Business Intelligence Manager & SQL ninja)
Speaker Bio: Elena joined SurveyMonkey in November 2009 as a member of the Business Intelligence team. Today she is responsible for leading the BI function for SurveyMonkey which includes developing and monitoring business metrics, understanding customer behaviors, providing the analytical backbone for our core business and enabling executive decision making through data insights. Prior to joining SurveyMonkey she worked at Safeway Inc on developing personalized savings algorithms within Marketing Strategies Department. Elena Graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Statistics.

Speaker Bio: Kate joined SurveyMonkey in August 2010. She leads strategic partnership initiatives, focused primarily on technical integrations. Kate also played a major role in SurveyMonkey’s acquisition of Wufoo and the minority investment in Clicktools. Previously, Kate worked in private equity and investment banking for Shamrock Capital Advisors and JP Morgan. She holds a B.B.A. in Finance and B.A. in Spanish from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from Stanford. Current trends she’s interested in include coding education (e.g. General Assembly, Hackbright), the “ new last mile problem” of APIs, and innovate payments solutions from the likes of Stripe and Dwolla. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and 1 year old daughter.
